YES, the rumors are true. David Carrier-Porcheron, Romain de Marchi, and JP Solberg, who all parted ways with Burton last Fall, are starting a new snowboard brand. YES they will be available at SIA and YES they have landed on a name. YES. The idea for the new line was hatched when Jim Zbinden, founder of the Pulp68 family and designer of Nidecker’s NDK line, began talking with Romain de Marchi several years ago about a new type of company focused on quality, affordable boards with more of a skate feel. “RDM liked the idea and met [with] DCP & JPS to use this board,” says Zbinden. “At the same time, I worked out a new concept of snowboard brand, a brand that looks like a skate brand. Cheaper but stronger, changing design every 4 months.” Zbinden worked with Henry Nidecker, who manages the family factory, to create the boards, and prototypes started rolling out a couple months ago.

La prima Domenica di ogni mese AFTERWEEK presenta una grande festa in collaborazione con VERTICALE.Sarà come al solito un grande APERITIF PARTY tra amici all'insegna del divertimento e della musica di qualità.

Verticale e' "la scuola" di snowboard all' Abetone Con sede all' Abetone, in via dell' Uccelliera ( vicino alle piramidi ) e' aperta ogni giorno da dicembre ad aprile. I suoi maestri effettuano lezioni singole e collettive ad ore o per l' intera giornata. La scuola si avvale di personale insegnante F.I.S.I. / A.M.S.I. e del metodo BURTON LTR ( Learn To Ride ). La scuola di snowboard Verticale offre, nel magico scenario dell' Appennino Tosco-Emiliano, Lezioni singole, corsi collettivi per principianti ed esperti, stage freestyle e freeride, escursioni guidate, preparazione agonistica per allievi juniores, riprese video .  LTR Burton si basa sull' uso di una tavola speciale che aiuta, il principiante, ad apprendere in poco tempo la corretta metodologia di curva; il tutto facilitato dalla connessione, attacchi scarponi, step-in. Le attrezzature LTR Burton sono studiate per minimizzare la fatica nei primi giorni di snowboard. Cosi i riders, oggi, apprendono molto velocemente la corretta tecnica.
